ABOUT
EMMA LOUISE
What's your role with the GLA?
I'm the Watershed Engagement Coordinator at the GLA. I coordinate volunteer and educational opportunities that create active and engaged water quality ambassadors throughout the watershed.

Where are you from?
I'm from a small town in Norway called Trøgstad.
Where did you go to college & which degrees did you earn?
I went to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Political Science.

What secret skill(s) do you possess that you don't often use for your work with the GLA?
I am fluent in two languages, but have experience and knowledge of five languages in total.

Where's your favorite view around the Lake?
My favorite view is whenever I am on the east side of the lake and get to see the sun setting over the water.

Why do you care about protecting Big Green?
I have been fortunate enough to experience the great outdoors and see some incredible nature and wildlife, and I want the future generations to have the same opportunities I have had. There is no life without water, so preserving Green Lake is in everyone's best interest.
